Rev. Anthony Reed, D. Min

The Reverend Dr. Anthony Reed is a native of Charleston, South Carolina.  He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Religion. He is also a graduate of Turner Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia where he earned a Master’s of Divinity Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling, and Psychology of Religion.  He received his Doctor of Ministry Degree at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio; In the area of Leadership Development and Organization Dynamics. His specified area of expertise is Church Marketing and Evangelism.

He is now serving as the esteemed Pastor of the “Mighty” Martin Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church in Miami, Florida.  This congregation is now one of the fastest growing AME churches in the state of Florida. Now serving two locations through a North and South campus every weekend worshipers can experience the power of God through four powerful worship experiences.

Rev. Reed is an outstanding preacher who embodies the teaching of the gospel through contemporary terminology.  His anointing to use contemporary vernacular to preach the word has given him the nickname of the “Hip Hop Preacher.”  Rev. Reed is one that takes the rhythms of the world and cultivates it with the power of the Holy Ghost.  He is also the originator of the “Hip Hop Bible Study”, a charismatic bible interpretation that has traveled all over the country to reap a harvest of souls for the Lord.

Rev. Reed is married to the queenly Mrs. Karen Stokes Reed.  Together they have three beautiful boys, Anthony Reed, Jr., and twin boys Jeremiah and Joel. Rev. Reed is an accomplished guitar player and founder of the Joyful Noise Band which received high acclaim in 2004 by the City of Delray Beach, Florida.  He has also received the Mayor’s award of Boynton Beach, Florida.  The list goes on and on of the awards and accolades he has received; however, his most prized possession is to be a servant of God.
